JUDITH LOWEBA(HONS) Applied Social Science, Diploma Social Work

Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Coach
Perth, Western Australia

Judith is a Psychotherapist, Counsellor, and Coach with 25 years experience. She has been an Educator at the Australian College of Applied Psychology and a Lecturer at TAFE. She has facilitated many personal and professional development workshops and programmes in organisations large and small, and works with individuals and groups.

Her clients are drawn for all walks of life and bring issues ranging from: anxiety and depression, loss and grief, life transitions, adjustment issues, lack of self-worth, relationship breakdown, sexuality issues, workplace bullying, childhood abuse and simply feeling stuck.

Judith uses an eclectic mix of therapies to assist clients to identify and connect old behavior patterns to how life is playing out in the present. She believes that this is a platform from which clients can develop inner strength and self-determination. Clients can then step into their personal power which may have been taken away or given away over the years. Then the space opens up to allow the desire and belief that a new reality is possible.

Judith weaves various approaches and concepts into her work with clients, including, narrative therapy, voice dialogue, transactional analysis, cognitive-behavioural therapies and coaching approaches to help shift into the 'action' stage of change, helping her clients engage practical ways of thinking and feeling, and then actually doing something different.

Judith is a consummate professional who finds joy and purpose in her work. She facilitates therapy from a place of presence, transparency, and experience, translating concepts and ideas into recognisable, usable tools. After a long history of working in a variety of contexts with many hundreds of people, Judith trusts and respects the process of growth and holds the space for her clients as they explore and discover their truths.

She appreciates the potential in every person, engendering trust and encouraging involvement by sparking curiosity and a sense of what is possible. She brings depth to all her work no matter how brief the intervention, putting everything into it to do her best for those who choose her as their therapist or coach.
